How To Load Video Onto The Nokia N95 |

The Nokia N95 is a great multimedia player but how do you get videos onto the phone?
You've got two options: either record the video on the phone, or download video clips from an Upnp device.
Recording video is easy enough; you just open the lens cover to activate the camera, select Video mode from the active toolbar and press the capture key to start recording. Of course you can also press the zoom key on the side of the phone to zoom in or out of the subject. If you want to change the lighting and color settings you need do so before you start recording. Use the scroll key to scroll through the active toolbar, and select white balance, colour tone, or scene. The N95's screen display will change to match the setting changes you make, so you see how the change will affect the video. Video clips recorded with the camera are stored in the Images & video folder in Gallery. To play a video clip saved in Gallery, go to Saved clip, select Options and then Open. Scroll to the clip you want to play, and press the Play button.
Downloading video clips to your phone is a bit more complicated. The RealPlayer on your N95 will play .3gp, .mp4 and .rm video clips so clips that you download from other devices must be in one of these formats. Fortunately Nokia has released Nokia Video Manager for Windows PC, which helps you copy video clips to your phone and converts them on the fly to mp4. Nokia Video Manager can detect a connected Nokia N95 phone and will allow you to copy video clips directly to your phone. The software will also convert .avi, .mpeg, .wmv and .mov clips to .mp4. You can also use Nokia Video Manager to covert video clips on your PC without you N95 being connected and can play back video clips on the PC so you can view your clip before you copy them to your phone.
Nokia Video Manager is real easy to use and greatly simplifies the process of getting video clips onto your phone. It might also be compatible with other Nokia Nseries phones, such as the N75, N76, N80 and N93. You can download Nokia Video Manager from the Nokia website.
